Firestone Q. Josh's first exposure to DIPS was exactly four days following his birth. His Aunt, Minerva
Josh, was accepting the Blue Dolphin of Excellence award on behalf of his Paternal Uncle, Redmond
Q. Josh, in memory of his 20 years as an outstanding DIPS Flight Commander. Command R.Q. Josh
died while in command of the DIPS Ship, Poseidon when the brave DIPS Crew was overtaken by a
Sonic Wave in the Bradbury Sector.
F.Q. Josh's entire family, in fact, have been part of the DIPS team. His father, Carlton Q. Josh, had
served nobly as a Flight Commander, himself. He died during a routine delivery to Daltar 11 when he
and his crew of the DIPS Ship, Custer were overtaken by native terrorist forces. F.Q. Josh's mother,
Beatrice Josh, was a top management official at DIPS Headquarters on the United Imperial States of
Earth until a fire from a malfunction during the launch of the DIPS Ship, Hindenburg overtook her
wing of the building. F.Q. Josh's brother, Goodyear Q. Josh, and his two cousins, Robert and
John F. Josh, were the first All Family Crew, serving on the DIPS Ship, Kennedy, until it was shot
down by a lone Fedextraterrestrial. This incident is still plagued with controversy.
F.Q. Josh, himself, started at DIPS at the age of 10 as a BT (Box Tester). He spent his teen years as
an HLD (Heavy Lifting Designate) on a variety of DIPS Ships, most notably working aboard the DIPS
Ship, Damon, a well respected vessel which, unfortunately, became primarily used to tow the DIPS
Ship, Affleck. With the loss of his father's inheritance due to extensive funeral expenses, F.Q. Josh
put himself through flight school while taking a leave of absence from shipping missions to work as a
Shipping Coordinator Assistant, Level W. He then flew on many high profile shipping expeditions
under the mentorship of Commander M. Reynolds of the DIPS Ship, Whedon.
The last remaining Josh, he is proud to be taking command of his first vessel, the DIPS Ship, Upton,
and to continue on in the Josh Family Tradition.
