This position is designed to support the Pilot and Ship's Commander by picking
up the slack when he is ill, otherwise occupied, or drunk. The Co-Pilot is
required to operate a vessel through asteroid belts, alien attacks, and rain.
Co-Pilots should have at least four years flying experience on Aerostar-Class
Vessels and/or Space Shuttles.
A physical exam involving anti-gravity, speed of light, pressure change, and
body flammability is required. Qualified applicants must have a good flying
record and a valid pilot's license issued by United Imperial States of Earth or
any of the colonized planets. Applicants are required to do whatever their Flight
Commanders tell them without question. This position has a 61% survival rating
overall.

Pilots are the backbone of the delivery industry.
Maintaining the unmatched 61% survival rating of
shipments reaching their destinations relies heavily
on the shoulders of the men (and, like one or two
insignificant women) who pilot the DIPS Vessels.
These coveted positions are structured to require
years of successful performance in lower-level
onboard posts, excessive assessment training, and
at least 1000 flying days clocked before being even
remotely considered for a piloting career. Or the
applicant can have completed a five month course
at DeVry.

Carbon Based Life Forms. Others need not apply.
